Yes, you’ll see video ads on your News Feed pretty soon. The company announced their move to launch video ads last December and they’ve been testing it since then, but it isn’t until recently that they expressed their intent to roll these out “over the next few months”.
Called Premium Video Ads, these 15-second videos will auto-play on mute as you scroll through them on the News Feed but will stop once you scroll past.
This is good news for advertisers, but will definitely raise mixed responses from Facebook users.
