With its premium service established only in December 2015, Booky has now reached over 100,000 diners seated, making its mark as the leading restaurant reservation and discount platform in the country today.
In a time when the Filipino’s mobile usage habits are significantly advancing, the local restaurant industry is no exception to change. Despite being a culture that is used to “Filipino time,” Booky, the country’s premier restaurant reservation system, has seen a new trend in the Filipino’s dining habits where the value of a good discount plus the convenience of table reservations both play a huge role. Today, over 500 of Metro Manila’s top restaurants are partners of Booky, a local app founded by Filipino-British entrepreneur Ben Wintle.
In a newsletter sent out last month, Wintle thanked Booky users for their support around the company milestone of 100,000 booked seats, which was achieved on September 21, 2016. Wintle announced that the service has likewise helped these diners save millions of pesos on restaurant bills.
“Booky remains to be the largest restaurant reservation and discount platform in the Philippines, a feat we could not have done without your support,” he noted.
In a private event on November 25, he also shared an infographic showing insights on the table booking history of Booky since the food app was established in December 2015. With a 45% increase in bookings each month, the company is set to hit 1,000,000 booked seats by 2017.
Booky lets users book a table and get discounts at over 500 top restaurants in Metro Manila through its website or offline app. The subscription is priced at only P199 per month, but new users may sign up to a free trial get P1000 worth of discount credits. Even without a subscription, Booky also acts as a directory where users can search over 15,000 restaurants and 10,000 menus in Metro Manila.
