Apple users rejoice! iOS has just been updated to 6.1.2. This update “Fixes an Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.” This is great and all, but the update doesn’t even mention THIS BUG that lets unscrupulous ne’er do wells bypass the lock screen and access all your i-device’s deepest, darkest secrets. It’s no secret that the bug exists, it has been confirmed and reconfirmed and repeated over and over, so it’s a little curious that they haven’t addressed this matter, but this is what we’ve got. On the bright side, it remains jailbreakable (though that’s another can of worms) so its not all bad. The update isn’t a bad idea if you’re on 6.1.1 anyway, just be a little extra careful with your phone. You should be able to access the update via your iDevice, but if you want legit confirmation, apple has the news HERE.
