Marvel is set to launch a voice-activated assistant app for iOS based on Tony Stark’s trusty AI, JARVIS.
The JARVIS app primarily ties in with the Blu-ray release of Iron Man 3. It acts as a second screen app for the movie, giving users access to exclusive content. It can also double as a remote control for the Blu-ray player if both devices are connected to the same network. The best part is that you can control JARVIS exactly the way Stark would—with your voice.
The app features an interactive Armor Gallery that lets you browse all 42 of Stark’s Iron Man armors. In addition, it has an integrated clock mode that enables you to see the time, set alarms, and check the local weather. JARVIS also lets you install unique ringtones and initiate various forms of media delivered in messages.
The JARVIS app will be available for download on September 10.
(Oh, and did we mention Paul Bettany, the actor who provides the voice of JARVIS in the Iron Man movies, has lent his voice to the app as well? I—er, I mean, we. Can’t. Wait!)
