Manulife partnered with ride-hailing service Grab to educate Filipinos on-the-go about the importance of saving, investing, and life insurance.

Two hundred Manulife-branded GrabCars are each currently installed with a tablet where passengers can watch informative videos featuring actress and model Isabelle Daza, comedian KaladKaren, as well as host and comedian Victor Anastacio. After each video, they can opt to schedule an appointment with a financial adviser by filling up an online form.

Passengers will be asked to input their name, email address, and preferred date of appointment when they sign up. Manulife will then match them with a financial adviser based on the information they have given.

“In our commitment to provide innovative financial solutions to our customers, we are using technology to make it easier for them to plan for their futures,” said Ryan Charland President and CEO of Manulife Philippines. “With our partnership with Grab, we’ll be able to make Filipinos’ time in transit more productive by showing them ways they can manage their finances and secure their futures.”

Cindy Toh, Country Marketing Head of Grab Philippines added: “Manulife and Grab share the same vision of improving the lives of Filipinos. As the leading online-to-offline (020) mobile platform in Southeast Asia, we are glad that this partnership with Manulife will allow our consumers to use their time on the road to plan their future.”

The Manulife-branded GrabCars are present in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
