ABS-CBN brings Hado, a state-of-the-art augmented reality game to the country. Elevating dodgeball to a whole new level, Hado Pilipinas is a techno sport that motivates players to move their bodies in a fun way.

A venture of ABS-CBN Themed Experiences Inc., Hado Pilipinas is a PvP AR game that uses VR glasses and motion sensors that enable players to throw energy balls at their enemies and put up shields to thwart enemy attacks.  What sets it apart from most VR and MOBA games is the interaction between the two teams, immersing them into the game instead of using avatars.

To play the game properly, players should move around and do the actual throwing and dodging movements. Each team consists of three players and 80-second rounds. The team that knocks out the greater number of opponents will be the winner.

The audience can also watch the perspective of the players on giant monitors, allowing them to see the energy balls, shields, and player stats.

At present, ABS-CBN has started initiatives to promote it to schools. It has partnered with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) member schools to look for players that will participate in the Hado Pilipinas NCAA Collegiate Cup 2019.

Winners from the competition will win an all-expense paid trip to Tokyo, Japan and will have the chance to represent the Philippines in the Hado World Cup 2019 in December and win JPY 2 million.

A training ground inside the ABS-CBN compound, which features complete equipment for the game, is scheduled to open in the laat quarter of 2019.
