Bethesda Softwork’s reboot of the first-person shooter DOOM, long teased by Nintendo for a port for its Switch console, finally gets an official release date and it’s not too far away. The game will be released on November 10, 2017, ahead of another Bethesda port, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which comes out on November 17.
DOOM is rated for mature players, known for its use of profanity and intense violence and gore. An M-rated game is a rare sight for Nintendo players and is a sign that the company is trying to get more third-party developers to port and release their games to the console.
The port will be slightly downgraded, mostly in terms of frame rate, for it to be handled better by the Switch’s hardware. But now you can bring the adrenaline-pumping action of DOOM pretty much anywhere.
