Stargram Global has collaborated with Stargram Philippines to launch mit messenger as the first messaging platform to officially start its service in the Philippines.

Taking off from its Philippine launch, mit messenger aims to become a global messenger which will compete with Viber and Facebook Messenger.

Stargram Global CEO KJ Kim said “mit messenger has developed a localized communication system that is able to make a video calls with lowest data. As we realized that there would be a lot of inconvenience due to the lack of urgent notification message and financial payment system, we also created a messenger payment function so paying for utility bills, etc. through mit messenger will allow overseas workers to easily transfer funds.”

mit messenger has excellent security because it does not save personal information on the server, using only the phone number for authentication. It also has a message delete function in case of user error, and a time bomb function where a message disappears after a certain period.

It has low data usage and a 7-minute mit messenger call uses only 1 mb. Transmission speed is fast due to he low bandwidth.

It is expected that over 15 million OFWs will be able to easily transfer money, make deposits or pay bills while using mit messenger’s wallet function.

mit messenger is set to be formally launched on December 4, 2018.
