TechnologyTechnology NewsSmart unveils two LTE handsets: Sony Xperia V and ZTE T82

While Globe was mum about the LTE smartphones they’ll be unveiling this weekend, Smart was more than happy to spill the beans on their upcoming LTE handsets. The telco will be offering two LTE enabled handsets for their LTE service: the Sony Xperia V and the ZTE T82.

The Sony Xperia V is a device that’s been knocking around in these parts ever since it was unveiled during IFA, and is a product that we’ve been hankering to get our hands on for some time. Who would blame us? It sports a 4.3-inch, 1280 x 720 resolution display, is shatter and water-resistant and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual core processor with Android 4.0 on board.

If the Xperia V isn’t to your liking, you can always grab the ZTE T82. This particular LTE device has a 4.3-inch display,  1.5 GHz dual-core processor and sports an 8-megapixel camera.

“As two of the most advanced handsets today, the Sony Xperia V and the ZTE T82 add even more excitement to a lineup of power handsets exclusively available to Smart subscribers,” said Mellissa Limcaoco, head of Marketing for Smart brands.

“To fully enjoy the features of these two devices, as with other smartphones, subscribers must use them with a strong and reliable network. And Smart is the only telco in the country with a world-class data network capable of providing the best connectivity to the world’s most advanced devices,” Limcaoco added.

Smart is offering both of these handsets free (the Sony Xperia V will only be free until January 15, 2013) with their LTE Plan 1500,  bundled with unlimited data (until January 2013) 120 SMS and 60 call minutes.
