Fitbit expands its best-selling smartwatches with the launch of Fitbit Versa 2. The second generation of the brand’s best-selling smartwatches improves the way it navigates notifications and tracks sleep.
Essential upgrades for the Fitbit Versa 2 includes an always-on display, a built-in microphone that enables voice commands, water-resistance up to 50 meters, and Spotify support for music playback. It is packed with advanced features such as Sleep Score for reporting sleep quality, Smart Wake for waking users during an optimal time of their sleeping cycle while in REM sleep, Sleep mode for disabling notifications when sleeping or when needed, and Estimated Oxygen Variation Graph for detecting oxygen levels in the bloodstream through the smartwatch’s built-in sensors.
The fitness brand also announced its own paid subscription service that helps Fitbit users to achieve their health and fitness goals daily. The Fitbit Premium offers personalized insights in the form of guided programs, dynamic workouts, workout challenges, health reports, and coaching.
Fitbit also unveiled the local availability of the Aria Air, its affordable smart scale. It tracks weight and syncs with the Fitbit app to calculate one’s Body Mass Index (BMI), giving a comprehensive view of trends over time alongside the user’s activity, heart rate, sleep and nutrition data.
