    ZTE, the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world, has just announced the availability of four new smartphones targeted at first-time entrants and power users alike.

    The ZTE Kis II-V795 and ZTE V829 are positioned to appeal to those looking for entry-level devices, thanks to a user-friendly interface and attractive price point. More hardcore users, on the other hand, have the ZTE V967S and ZTE V969 and their sleek, fashionable design, extended battery life and powerful hardware.

    All the phones run MiFavor, the MiFavor UI, an Android overlay that delivers intuitive operation and increased personalization. This makes the already versatile Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS even better.

    The star of the show the V969 packs an MT6592, quad-core 1.3GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with a huge 5.5-inch QHD Capacitive multi-touch screen and 3G connectivity for internet access anywhere you go. Those who like mixing business with leisure will appreciate the device’s dual-SIM, dual-Standby feature and huge 3200mAh battery. Though the exact price hasn’t been released, we’ve been teased with a figure that is “about PHP 11,000.”

    The event also saw the official announcement of the brand’s partnership with the Houston Rockets, and ZTE’s role as the team’s official smartphone for the 2013-2014 season. “ZTE wants to increase its brand awareness globally. In addition to our brands’ magnitude of similarities, booth ZTE and the Houston Rockets have a commitment to strengthen our relationship with the Philippine market as we relate to the country’s potential both in technology and the field of sports,” said James Chen, President for ZTE Philippines.

    The devices will be available through MSI-ECS and via Smart Telecom.
