Philips Hue makes home lighting smart

Home is a place where we’re supposed to be able to kick back and relax. Whether it’s after a long day at work, or a nice stretch of staying in, it should be a place where we feel comfortable and recharge. Philips aims to make the home experience even more inviting and convenient with Hue.

Philips hue lighting gives you the option to adjust the intensity of the light, as well as choose from 16 million colors, all from the convenience of a smartphone app. The wireless bridge, included in the Home Kit, takes this connectivity even further, allowing you to control the lights from anywhere in the world, as long as you have an internet connection–no more wondering if you left the lights on while you’re on vacation.

For even greater conveience, Philips Hue can be controlled through a variety of third-party services and devices, including Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Microsoft Cortana, If This Then That, Nest, and a whole number of others.

Automation, either through a separate motion-sensing module, or schedules, allows you to take better charge of your lighting, so you don’t have to stumble your way through the dark, or worry about home when you’re away.

Additional features such as entertainment-sensitive lighting lets your lights fit the mood of what you’re playing, watching, or listening to, greatly enhancing the experience.
