Recording a video clip of one second of each day of your life? There’s an app for that.

The 1 Second Everyday (1SE) app, developed by Cesar Kuriyama and Alchemy50, lets you select videos from your iPhone’s camera roll, choose one second of each video, and arrange them seamlessly in chronological order on a timeline.

You can also create multiple timelines within the app. For instance, if you want to keep a timeline of your life in general, and a separate timeline for videos of your pets or your kids. Users can compile videos in any given time frame; all you have to do is select start and end dates.

Since the app has access to your camera roll, you can shoot your videos with the iPhone’s native camera app. However, 1SE also lets you record videos directly on the app. Once your timeline is complete, the app gives you the option of keeping the video to yourself or posting your compilations directly on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or Tumblr.

Kuriyama made an open call for pledges on Kickstarter last month in order to gather funds to finish the app. The project has already reached its financial goal three days ago. It’s not available on the App Store yet, but according to a post on the project’s Facebook page, the app will be sold for USD $1. Kuriyama also says that he plans on working on an Android version of the app.
