Seeing action in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARCC) 2022 season, the Yamaha PH riders shared their renewed motivation to do better in the international competition.

After April King Mascardo finished 9th in round 1 he said that adjustments needed to be made against the highly skilled riders of the ARRC. And he applied those adjustments in an up and down race where positions were barely solidified until the last few laps. He improved from his last race and finished 5th in race 2.

As he returned to the paddock April stated, “For me, I’m just looking for time to get the pole for the last turn. That last turn was crazy, all the riders were in the slipstream. For round 2 in Malaysia, I will give my best again for the country. “

Gian Carlo Mauricio, unfortunately, did not finish in race 1 but managed to get to 17th in race 2. “After the start, I was really feeling that I can make it. I was going strong for 4 laps but had trouble with my bike. In Malaysia, I will still give my best to be part of the top 10.” he said after the race.

J.E. Inguito remained consistent in his performance with a 10th place finish after getting 11th place last race.

Mascardo sits at 7th in the overall standings after round 1 and leads the Filipino riders entering the 2nd round in Malaysia. Keep supporting our racers on May 28-29 as they showcase their skill at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.
