Four new dual-SIM models of Lenovo’s A Series range of Android phones will be available in the Philippines starting this month: the A850, A516, A369i, and the A269i.
The A850 leads the pack with a quad-core MTK processor clocked at 1.3GHz and a 5.5-inch qHD IPS display. It runs on Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and is the only one among the four to have a built-in flash next to the 5.0MP main camera. It will be available at the end of October for a suggested retail price of PHP 9,999.
With a screen measuring one inch less than that of the A850, the dual-core, Jelly Bean-powered A516 retails at PHP 5,999.
Like the A516, the A369i features a dual-core MTK processor clocked at 1.3GHz and runs on Jelly Bean 4.2.2. However, its screen only measures 4 inches and the display technology that was used is WVGA. A program called Lenovo Anyshare is pre-installed into this model. The app lets the user transfer files to other mobile devices using the hotspot function of the phone instead of Bluetooth. The A369i costs PHP 4,499.
At the tail of the new line-up is the A269i, which will sell for only PHP 2,999, making it the most affordable model in the series. Although it has a dual-core MTK chip, the A269i runs an older version of Android (Gingerbread 2.3.6) and has a display that measures only 3.5 inches.
All four phones will be available through the authorized resellers of Open Communications, Lenovo’s exclusive smartphone distributor in the Philippines.
