Before its scheduled debut at IFA 2013, specs and images of Alcatel’s new OneTouch Evo8 HD tablet have surfaced on the Internet.
The humble 8-inch tablet is reported to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution screen housed in an aluminum casing available in black or silver.
Garnering attention is the optional “magic” integrated flip-cover which lights up in various symbols when the user receives notifications for e-mails, Tweets, Facebook messages, and other alerts. The “magic” comes from the LED integrated patterns on the flip-cover.
The OneTouch Evo8 HD packs a 1.6Ghz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot that enables expansion up to 64GB.
It is also 3G and 4G LTE compatible, and has Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi capabilities. Additionally, it has been revealed that the OneTouch Evo8 HD has a 2MP front-facing camera and a 3MP rear (main) camera.
There are still no reports as to when the OneTouch Evo8 HD will be released. We’ll keep you posted for more details.
