Ford Philippines today reported its strongest sales month of the year and best-ever July performance with overall retail sales last month jumping 71 percent to 1,273 units. Ford’s year-to-date retail sales have now risen 84 percent to 7,534 vehicles, making Ford the fastest growing automotive brand in the country this year.
July was led by significant sales gains across Ford’s entire vehicle lineup, most notably the all-new Ford Ranger, the all-new Ford Explorer, the all-new Ford Focus, and the refreshed Ford Everest.
The all-new Ranger continues to be Ford’s best-selling nameplate in the Philippines. In July, the class-defining pickup truck delivered its second best-ever monthly performance with retail sales of 448 units. Year-to-date sales have now reached 2,451 units–the best-ever performance for a Ford vehicle in the Philippines through the first seven months of any year.
Ford SUVs also continued to support the company’s sales momentum. Retail sales of the popular Ford Everest family SUV in July enjoyed sales of 294 units–its best monthly performance of the year. Year-to-date sales have risen more than 150 percent year-on-year to 1,559 units.
Positive response to the upgraded Ford Explorer lineup in the Philippines, including the 2.0L Explorer Limited with EcoBoost and 3.5L Explorer Limited Plus, helped deliver its best-ever monthly performance in July with retail sales of 131 units. Year-to-date customer deliveries have nearly doubled from a year ago to 591 units.
The technology-packed all-new Focus turned in its best monthly performance since 2007 with retail sales of 124 units, helping drive its year-to-date sales up 79 percent from the previous generation Focus during the same period last year to 601 units.
The segment-leading Ford Fiesta delivered July retail sales of 158 units. Later this month, Ford will begin customer deliveries of the new Ford Fiesta 5-door hatchback and 4-door sedan featuring the global 1.5L Ti-VCT engine.
In July, the iconic Ford Mustang sports car also enjoyed its strongest month of the year with sales of 25 units. This brings overall customer deliveries since its launch in the Philippines to 271 units.
As sales across its product lineup continue to grow, Ford builds on its commitment to further enhance its customer experience, which includes customer convenience from an even wider network of nationwide coverage.
Ford plans to open three more full sales and service outlets by the end of the year, including dealerships in Baguio, General Santos, and Zamboanga, bringing its total nationwide network to 35 locations.
