    MANILA, Philippines– The country’s most-awaited endurance race, the Petron x 8 Oras ng Pilipinas, is now setting up for yet another epic test of man and machine. Lights turn green this coming December 1 – 2, 2018 at the Clark International Speedway and teams who dare to take on the challenge may now submit their entries.

    With Petron Blaze 100 Euro 6 and Petron Blaze Racing as the Philippine Endurance Challenge’s (PEC) official fuel and engine oil, teams can opt to run in any of the 5 categories. The RP Class is the race prepped or unlimited class for race cars. FM-1 is for slightly modified street cars with more than 150 hp, FM-2 is for cars within 100 to 150 hp, and FM-3 for 100 hp and below. Lastly, the Manufacturer’s Cup is exclusive for showroom stock vehicles with no modifications except for safety equipment.

    Each entry must consist of between 2 to 6 drivers who will race eight hours non-stop. This includes pit stops, driver swaps, tire changes, and re-fueling.

    As a benchmark, the winner of the 2017 event was the Formula V1 of Tuason Racing School that completed a total of 191 laps and covered 800 km.

    Are you up for the challenge? Registration for the Petron x 8 Oras ng Pilipinas is now open and limited to only 35 slots. Early bird rate is P35,000 per entry on or before November 2, 2018 and P40,000 onwards.
