Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) officially launched their newest offering at a grand launch held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. Called the Wigo, the mini hatchback is a practical city car that boasts of a modern exterior, stylish and functional interior, wide cabin space, standardized safety features and fuel efficiency.
All-around performance is provided by the newly developed lightweight engine. The Wigo is fitted with an Inline-3 DOHC 12V engine that provides a balance of power and efficiency and makes it easy to drive. The engine is rated to produce maximum output of 65hp/6,000rpm and a maximum torque of 85Nm/3,600rpm.
The exterior features chrome accented foglamps, color keyed power mirrors, 14-inch alloy wheels, chrome side door moldings, a spoiler integrated LED stop lamp, and a rear wiper. Inside, the Wigo is equipped with an easy-to-see meter panel with GPS-ready multi-information touch panel display, silver accented center console, and power windows, locks and mirrors, and exceptional rear-passenger legroom. The Wigo is the longest and largest among its competitors, and has the largest opening height and width for easy ingress and egress.
All Wigo’s variants are equipped with standard SRS airbags for both the driver and passenger and the top of the line grade is equipped with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS).
Available in three variants, the Toyota Wigo is priced as follows:
- Wigo 1.0G 4-speed AT – P534,000
- Wigo 1.0G 5-speed MT – P499,000
- Wigo 1.0E 5-speed MT – P448,000 (available in April)
The all-new Wigo is available in six easy-to-love colors: blue metallic; white; black; silver metallic; metallic gray; and light blue.
