    Huawei Pura 70 Pro reviewed

Huawei has leveled up its P70 series, enhancing its appearance and camera system. Introducing the Huawei Pura 70 Pro, where every detail and performance reflects advanced technology and modern design, embodying its “fashion forward” ethos.

    Design: 5/5

The first thing I noticed about the Huawei Pura 70 Pro are its edges. The smartphone features rounded, curved edges that are comfortable to hold, and the frosted 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass finish on the back adds a nice, smooth touch of elegance. Also, it’s incredibly resistant—no fingerprints or scratches will leave a mark on it, so it stays clean and sleek. What stands out the most is the unique design of the camera module on the main camera at the back, which features a triangular shape resembling Huawei’s Forward symbol. This design houses the smartphone’s three lenses.

With its flat-edge screen, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro not only looks sleek but also offers a superior viewing experience and is also perfect for enjoying vivid colors and sharp details. Huawei also integrated the 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass crystal armor into its front screen, making it scratch-resistant—so no more worrying about accidental bumps ruining my binge-watching or gaming sessions. Plus, its refined design ensures a comfortable grip and a seamless user experience. The color I received is white, enhancing its overall eye-catching appearance from its edges and stylish back design. But if white is not your color, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro offers a black color back design.

Moving to other parts, the power button with a distinctive red line indicator is conveniently located on the right side, next to the volume button. At the top and bottom, you’ll find the speakers, while the bottom houses the USB Type-C charging port, microphone, and micro sim card tray.

    Hardware: 4/5

Aside from its aesthetic and comfortable design, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro runs on EMUI 14.2, which is based on Android 12 (and Huawei’s very own Harmony OS 4). Huawei’s latest EMUI version delivers smooth performance as I capture and edit photos and videos or even play some games with this smartphone.

Huawei didn’t provide us with any details on the processor of the Puro 70 Pro, but a quick search revealed that it’s running on Huawei’s latest Kirin 9010 processor. The Kirin 9010 is the brand’s latest silicon, built on a 7nm fabrication process.  The Kirin 9010 is paired with  12GB of RAM and 512GB ROM.

In terms of benchmarks the Huawei Pura 70 Pro outputted decent numbers.  Geekbench 5 benchmarks have it at 1010 in single-core and 3666 in multi-core tasks, making it a smooth operator for handling demanding applications. Meanwhile, Antutu V.10.2 had it at 883205, a respectable score. Finally, 3D Mark Wild Life yielded a 5096 with an average frame rate of 30.52, not bad.

Also, Huawei boosts the screen quality with the X-True Display. It has a sharp 2844×1260 resolution, super bright 2500nits peak of brightness, and a clear 460ppi pixel density. Plus, it has an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz for smooth visuals and HDR vivid for great color and contrast. Now let’s go through the highlight of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro: its cameras. The main rear camera is a 50MP ultra-lighting camera with an adjustable F1.4~F4.0 aperture. The telephoto camera is a 48MP ultra-lighting macro telephoto camera with F2.1 aperture. Finally, the wide-angle camera is a 12.5 ultra wide-angle with F2.2 aperture. The main rear and telephoto cameras have image stabilization, while the wide-angle camera does not. As for the front, it has a 13MP wide-angle selfie camera with an F2.4 aperture and autofocus. For video recording, this smartphone can shoot in high quality from 1080p to 4K in 16:9, 21:9, and full screen. You can even choose between 30 and 60 fps to achieve smooth footage.

But beyond its performance, this smartphone features a 5050mAh battery power that provides extended usage without frequent charging. Notably, its 100W charging speed can get you back connected and productive.

    User Experience: 4/5

Okay, here’s the scoop: the Huawei Pura 70 Pro is an absolute gem in camera tech, and so are the others in its series. The photos taken using the main rear, telephoto, and wide-angle cameras of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro are jaw-dropping, with vibrant colors and high quality. Even when I’m capturing moving objects, there’s zero blur messing up the shot or loss of detail. It’s like having a professional photographer’s tools at your fingertips.

The front camera of this smartphone also doesn’t disappoint since it delivers clear quality and vibrant colors from its crisp developed images. It’s equally great for shooting videos because it produces smooth and detailed footage in any lighting. You’ve got the option of shooting from 720p, 1080p, and 4K resolution at 30 or 60 frames per second. Just a heads-up, though, the stabilization feature doesn’t support zooming in or out. But it can still capture your moments with an impressive video performance.

Taking a look at the screen display of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro is like stepping into a vibrant world where every visual pops and shines, offering clarity and stunning visuals. Which is fun to watch or even play games with this smartphone. Like exploring the world of Ragnarok Origin or even getting my rank up with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang at ultra-quality graphics setting. Speaking of gaming, another thing to keep in mind is that the smartphone can heat up quite a bit during longer sessions. Which might make it uncomfortable to hold after a while. The 6.8-inch screen provides ample space for an immersive viewing experience, and the sounds are fantastic — clear and well-balanced tones from dual speakers.

Another interesting feature to mention is its operating system, EMUI 14.2. This OS is not only user-friendly but also fun to use, as it allows you to customize the look of your interface extensively. I was able to change some items and icons; I could even customize the layout to match my style. AI is also integrated into its operating systems, which enhances user experience. It offers photo editing capabilities, such as removing unwanted elements from images with ease. The convenience of shopping is also elevated — simply press and hold on an item to scan and access different digital stores seamlessly. Furthermore, Huawei’s AI  excels in language translation, enabling you to scan articles and documents and instantly translate them into various languages.

Unfortunately, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro has its flaws. The first is that it doesn’t come with Google Play Store. It’s a good thing most apps are already on the Huawei AppGallery. For apps that don’t have official Huawei Gallery ports, a search within the Gallery allows a seamless download of the APK file for easy installation.

The lack of Google Services also meant that you couldn’t use other native Google Apps like Gmail and YouTube. I managed to download Gmail and Google Drive, but I couldn’t get these apps to work properly, so I ended up using their web versions as a solution. Alternatively, there are other app workarounds, but they can be a hassle to install.

Another flaw of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro is that it lacks 5G connectivity, potentially impacting your experience. While this may be a deal breaker for some, the phone still has LTE, which was stable during my time with it.

    Value: 3/5

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro is priced at PHP59,999 and comes with 12GB+512GB of storage. Huawei’s Pura 70 Pro is a camera master, an excellent choice for photography enthusiasts. However, the lack of native Google support makes it unsuitable for users who depend heavily on Google’s apps and services.

“We’re particularly excited about the potential of Smart BESS™ to alleviate the worsening effects of global climate change, such as the recent heat wave crisis gripping the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia,” adds Jovy Gill. “This technology can play a crucial role in stabilizing the grid during peak demand periods, ensuring a more reliable and efficient power supply to keep Filipinos cool and comfortable even during extreme weather events. By working together, Altilium and Albion Technologies are committed to providing Filipinos with the tools they need to build a more resilient and sustainable energy future,” she concludes.

Visa supports women-owned SMEs and youth with digital and financial skills

Visa, a global leader in payment solutions, is committed to promoting digital and financial inclusion by equipping women and youth in Southeast Asia with essential digital and financial skills, to foster sustainable growth and pave the way for long-term success. An OECD report found that rural communities, women, and certain ethnic minority groups face barriers to realizing the full uptake of digital options. Many frequently encounter growth hurdles due to cultural and institutional obstacles, coupled with a preference for informal financing.

Southeast Asia’s young population, who constitute nearly a third of Southeast Asia, along with the region’s SMEs and MSMEs, which constitute 99% of businesses, are key to economic growth. Visa is aiding this progress by enhancing digital and financial literacy for women SME owners and young individuals. In 2023, Visa digitally enabled 10 million SMEs in Asia Pacific. Visa Foundation has committed over USD47M in the region, which has helped support two million women-led SMEs and sustain 500,000 jobs, and recently pledged $100M to APEC economies over five years.

Stephen Karpin, Regional President, Asia Pacific, Visa, said: “In the Philippines, women and young people form a crucial engine propelling local economic growth. Visa utilizes our resources and vast network to give back to the communities we operate in, particularly in promoting digital and financial inclusion. We believe in the transformative power of providing individuals and communities with global access to digital financial tools. As a key partner in Southeast Asia’s financial ecosystem, Visa is committed to reaching the most underserved communities, ensuring they too can reap the benefits of the digital economy.”

Kelly Tullier, Vice Chair, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer, Visa, added: “At Visa, we are dedicated to empowering women, particularly those running small businesses, to set them up for success. My trip to Vietnam reinforced how contributions within local communities are most impactful when done in concert with leaders on the ground. We met Visa Foundation partner, WISE Vietnam (Women’s Initiative for Startups and Entrepreneurship), which has supported 100,000 women entrepreneurs in Vietnam with access to digital tools to grow their businesses. Meanwhile, Visa’s partnership with The Asia Foundation enables us to work with government agencies and microfinance institutions to support local businesses and help the digital economy thrive. By supporting each other, we lay the groundwork for equitable futures for all.”

Visa and Visa Foundation forge strategic partnerships that help advance digitization and financial inclusion in communities across Southeast Asia, with several Social Impact initiatives that include:

The Philippines: Uplifting the Philippines’ future leaders through financial and academic education

    Visa
Teach for the Philippines, represented by its Chief Executive Officer Mavie Almeda Ungco (eighth from the left) and Chief of Staff Angel Ramos (sixth from the left), received a $250,000 grant from Visa Foundation, represented by Visa’s Vice President of Inclusive Impact & Sustainability for Asia Pacific Patsian Low (ninth from the left), to continue championing financial literacy and education in the country.

Visa’s financial literacy program in the Philippines, launched in 2017, has educated over 36,000 students and teachers in 64 schools across 21 cities. It works with Tanghalang Pilipino, the resident theater company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and Teach for the Philippines (TFP), a non-profit organization, with support from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The program involves a Tagalog skit presented in schools, which later became two web series centered around financial literacy. TFP was also a recent recipient of a Visa Foundation grant which will support student development programs and leadership development programs that deploy transformative teachers and changemakers in schools and education governance agencies.

Indonesia: Empowering women-led SMBs with skills to drive financial and digital inclusion

In Indonesia, the “Ibu Berbagi Bijak” (Women Sharing Wisdom) financial literacy program has impacted over 1,400 women positively since its inception in 2017, including over 1,000 women-led MSMEs across Central Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, and West Java through workshops, mentoring, and business matching. This was made possible with support from regional governments, Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, and relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, as well as the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs.

Moreover, Visa Foundation’s collaboration with UN Women and Swiss Association for Entrepreneurs in Emerging Markets resulted in a program that supports women-led care enterprises with business training, mentorship, and access to networks and finance. After completing the program, the first cohort collectively impacted more than 27,000 care beneficiaries, and over 6,500 employees and independent caregivers.

Vietnam: Supporting ethnic minorities, youth, and women business owners

In Vietnam, the “Accelerate My Business” program is a partnership with The Asia Foundation, and the Center for Women and Development, providing basic financial, business, and digital knowledge to Vietnam’s micro and SME owners in disadvantaged areas. The goal is to empower 25,000 female business owners in the next three years. Furthermore, Visa supports households and ethnic minority communities in partnership with the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs via a three-year MOU signed with the State Bank of Vietnam in 2023. The annual Financial Literacy Program, established since 2012 with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Students’ Association, seeks to improve financial and business literacy in Vietnam.

Cambodia: Supporting women through financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs

Visa works with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs in Cambodia (MoWA) and the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) to support women through financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs. Since 2020, Visa, MoWA, and NBC have collaborated on a four-year initiative, “Promoting Financial Literacy for Women and Women Entrepreneurs”, that has helped more than 10,000 women entrepreneurs and students. Given NBC’s progressive commitment to reduce the financial exclusion of women by half from 27 percent to 13 percent as stated in its National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2019-2025, Visa is committed to aligning with NBC’s goals in its social impact programs.

Visa Foundation’s partnership with The Asia Foundation has supported over 1,200 women entrepreneurs in the Philippines and Cambodia. In Cambodia, the project provided over 800 women entrepreneurs from 12 provinces with access to capital, financial education, business training, and online markets through existing e-commerce platforms.

Its commitment to broader social impact goals has resulted in the digital enablement of 67 million SMEs globally. Maxim E-hailing shares how to secure a ride during peak hours in the PH

E-hailing users know that it can be hard to get a ride at certain hours, especially during peak hours in some big cities. Due to high demand, the time of waiting for rides may increase, while order prices may also spike because of the traffic jams. Maxim specialists share a few tips on how to outsmart rush hour and secure a ride at an affordable price.

Additionally, the Maxim team explains the ordering process during busy times. Peak hours usually occur during weekdays, twice a day: in the morning and in the evening. One recommendation is to plan the trip wisely with tips and tricks.

The first step is to plan the journey of the day a little bit earlier, before the busy time. Traffic jams usually occur from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, so it’s better to be prepared 15–20 minutes before the peak hours. This method can also ease the morning tension some people experience when facing heavy traffic; starting the day early can help avoid a lot of negativity. Orders are reasonably priced and easy to access, and the time of waiting for a ride is shorter.

The same situation happens in the evening; traffic becomes heavier at 5:00 PM. Passengers have two options: they can choose to place their orders 20 minutes before the start of the rush hour, or when busy times end, which is usually around 7:00 PM.

Most of the passengers who need a ride during busy hours are office workers. They usually place orders in the morning and in the evening. Some of them are willing to pay more to get their car faster, but some are on a tight budget and wait long hours to get a better price.

“It’s a good idea to book a ride 15–20 minutes early because this can benefit both parties,” says a partner-driver of Maxim E-hailing.

Furthermore, scheduling an e-hailing ride is one of the keys to getting the ride on time. Maxim provides its users with the opportunity to schedule their rides in the app by specifying all the necessary information: the pick-up and destination addresses, and the time. Once the order is made, users get the driver’s information, and they can discuss the details of the ride. Generally, this method is used by travelers who need a ride to the airport to catch their flight.

Moreover, carpooling with colleagues is the most common trick used by Maxim passengers to save money and time. The company allows its passengers to include up to three drop-off addresses in one ride; this feature is popular among users who stay in the same neighborhood and come from the same location.

“I use the carpooling method to send my children to school on a busy day. The driver comes to pick up my three children who go to different schools. This helps me save time and money, and I can focus on my work,” says a user of Maxim E-hailing.

Lastly, all of these tips are recommended to all users. The time of rush hours may vary depending on the circumstances. Now, traveling by e-hailing during peak hours is still a choice, so get a comfortable ride and save more time.

Why the POCO F6 is this year’s gaming flagship killer

POCO has always tried and succeeded in developing phones that provide flagship-level performance at wallet-friendly prices. Its latest phone, the POCO F6, continues this trend by squeezing in elite-level innards at a sub-PHP 25,000 selling point making it perfect for discerning wallet-conscious gamers. But what exactly makes the POCO F6 a flagship killer perfect for gamers?

    Top-tier spec sheet

The POCO F6 beats on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, a bonafide flagship killer released just this first quarter of 2024, ensuring reliable performance even a few years down the line. This newly minted 4nm octa-core chipset features three Cortex-A520 cores clocked at a maximum 2.0GHz; four Cortex-A720 cores topping out at 2.8GHz; and a high-performance Cortex-X4 core at a blazing 3.0GHz. It also has a top-tier Adreno 735 graphics processor and is paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM for multitasking.

As of writing, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is among the top 10 mobile chipsets around based on various technical review sites. This makes the POCO F6 an undeniable performer which can keep up with the best of them no matter the gaming workload.

Complementing this processor is a 6.67-inch CrystalRes 1.5K Flow AMOLED DotDisplay with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz touch sampling rate ensuring ultra responsive gaming performance. The eye candy does not stop there as the POCO F6 boasts up to 2,400 nits of peak brightness for visibility; 100% DCI-P3 coverage for color vibrance and accuracy; and 1920Hz PWM dimming to help with eye fatigue during long gaming sessions.

Lastly, the POCO F6 is equipped with dual stereo speakers—one at the top and one at the bottom—for a loud and immersive gaming audio experience.

Power that can actually break a benchmark

On paper, the POCO F6’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is an undoubted powerhouse. However, what is surprising is that it can actually break a benchmark and score more than the software can display.

But first, its performance on the benchmarks that it did not break. The POCO F6 scored 3,019 in 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme 4K UHD test, which most other phones struggle to run; 15,042 on PCMark Work 3.0; 1,882 on Geekbench 6 CPU single-core; 4,730 on Geekbench 6 CPU multi-core; 8,773 on Geekbench 6 GPU OpenCL; and 927.05 MB/s and 765.22 MB/s on sequential reads and sequential writes on the Cross Platform Disk Test. It is as good as it can get at its price point, and actually even beyond as it blows its peers right out of the water with its sheer computing power.

In fact, it is so powerful that the typical 3D Mark Wildlife non-4K UHD test spit out a “Maxed Out!” rating, noting that the POCO F6 was “too powerful for this test.” That is not supposed to happen at this segment, but that’s apparently par for the course for the POCO F6.

Doesn’t stutter even on demanding titles

Moving on to actual gaming scenarios, the POCO F6 remains the steamroller that it is across popular games. Genshin Impact—arguably one of the most demanding Android games today—with every setting maxed out and 60fps mode turned on rendered silky smooth gameplay even with demanding skybox views. Diablo Immortal, another performance-punishing title, saw the same unbothered performance out of the POCO F6 even with everything maxed out, image resolution at high, and 60fps mode turned on. NBA 2K Mobile with maxed out graphics settings was also easy pickings.

Of course, popular and lighter multiplayer games, MOBAs, and FPSs are likewise no match for the Poco F6. Mobile Legends: Bang BangCall of Duty Mobile, and Pokémon Unite all ran like butter even with tons of action going on at the same time.

Complementing the powerful hardware is the POCO F6’s Wildboost 3.0 software optimizer for better, smoother performance during gaming sessions. With hardware, software, and display capabilities like it has, the POCO F6 will rarely stutter.

    Game-breaking price tag

Not only does the POCO F6 break benchmarks and run demanding games without breaking a sweat, it also comes with a price tag that will make its competition cry. Coming in at just PHP 21,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and PHP 24,999 for the 12GB RAM and the 512GB storage variant, the POCO F6 brings so much value to those looking to squeeze every last drop of gaming performance out of their hard-earned Peso.

But it’s more than a one-trick pony. The POCO F6 also has impressive dual rear cameras, respectable battery life, speedy 90W fast charging, a robust build with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and IP64 dust—and water-resistance, and lots more for gamers looking for an all-around mobile driver.

    Product Availability

The POCO F6 is available for purchase through Lazada and Shopee . If you want to get its even more rev’ed up brother, the POCO F6 Pro, you can also do so via these Lazada and Shopee links.

ADB and Mastercard collaborate to advance financial inclusion and digital innovation across APAC

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Mastercard have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance financial inclusion and drive digital transformation across the Asia-Pacific region. Signed in early May, the agreement underscores the shared vision of both organizations to drive greater financial inclusion by empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and women-owned businesses — leveraging digital innovation to foster inclusive growth and adoption of climate-smart practices.

ADB and Mastercard have pledged to collaborate on initiatives aimed at enhancing access to financing, promoting the adoption of digital payments, and strengthening digital literacy among underserved communities. With a focus on bridging the digital divide and promoting inclusive economic development, the Parties have established guiding principles to ensure that cooperation efforts are aligned with the overarching objective of building a secure and sustainable digital economy.

“Mastercard has an extensive history of supporting MSMEs, and is committed to further collaborating with ADB in the Philippines to drive greater financial inclusion, broaden credit access, and ensure a safe and secure digital ecosystem for the evolving landscape,” said Simon Calasanz, country manager, Philippines, Mastercard.

Suzanne Gaboury, director general of ADB’s Private Sector Operations Department shared, “Financial inclusion is at the heart of ADB’s mission to promote sustainable development. Through this partnership with Mastercard, we are increasing our efforts to expand access to financial services and unlock opportunities for marginalized communities in the Philippines, and across the region.”

ADB recently approved a USD300 million loan aimed at supporting the Philippines’ financial inclusion goals such as expanding Filipinos’ access to financial services, particularly the vulnerable segments of the population, and promoting economic growth.

This strategic partnership represents a significant milestone in the journey towards building a more inclusive and resilient digital economy in the Asia-Pacific region. By working together, ADB and Mastercard are poised to unlock new opportunities, drive sustainable growth, and create lasting impact for generations to come.

Riot Games PH opens nationwide registration for Liga Republika open qualifiers round

Riot Games, the leading developer and publisher of globally renowned games and esports titles, has officially opened nationwide registration for the open qualifiers round of Liga Republika, the country’s newly launched national League of Legends tournament created by Pinoys for Pinoy players.

Following its recent global announcement about the formation of a brand new LoL Esports Ecosystem set to debut in 2025, Riot Games Philippines is leveraging Liga Republika 2024 as a foundational element to elevate the competitive scene for local grassroots gaming communities and forge a path for Pinoy players to improve their chances of competing in the international stage.

“This is a pivotal time for League of Legends and the gaming community in the country. We are excited about the launch of Liga Republika to reinvigorate Filipino players and the wider League of Legends community. Hot on the heels of our recently announced changes to League esports, our commitment to competitive play is stronger than ever. We are confident that Liga Republika is the right next step to take in improving the competitive League of Legends scene in the Philippines,” said Joel Guzman, Country Manager of Riot Games Philippines.

Kickoff Invitational Results and Open Qualifiers Registration Updates

Last year’s top PH teams, Guardian’s Hive and Looking for Sponsor (LFS), dominated the first Kickoff Invitational round of the Liga Republika last May and qualified for the group stage in August. Fantasy Esports and Ninja Alpha are also advancing into the group stage.

Liga Republika has since opened registration for the open qualifiers, which will have four rounds slated on July 13, July 20, July 27, and August 2. Interested participants in the Philippines can form a team of at least five players to join and register for the open qualifiers beginning June 3 to June 20. Teams can register for all four rounds of the open qualifiers for increased chances of winning and advancing to the group stage.

With the announcement of the open registration, the league expects a total of 512 teams to compete in the open qualifiers round, where they will battle for one of the 12 slots in the group stage. The teams will be trimmed down to 8 in the playoffs, and the tournament will culminate offline in a LAN event in September, where the top 4 finalists will vie for the million-peso prize pool.

“From our initial roadmap announcement, we’ve seen the enthusiasm and vibrance of the League of Legends community in the Philippines. This also shows that the Filipino gaming community has welcomed, embraced, and acknowledged Liga Republika as the official national League of Legends tournament. This positive reception from the gaming community has made all of us at Riot Games Philippines even more confident that Liga Republika is well on its way to becoming the breeding ground for the next generation of Pinoy League of Legends talents. We are optimistic that, together with our players, we can usher in a new era of League of Legends in the Philippines through Liga Republika,” said Kimi Salazar, Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) brand manager of Riot Games Philippines.

Cultivating the Competitive Readiness of Pinoy League of Legends Players

The global  LoL Esports update ushers in a new era and journey for players and communities via a new merit-based pathway to the top. In APAC, this gives rise to a new regional league that is aimed at showcasing regular inter-regional competitions via a new hybrid partnership plus promotion/relegation league model. In future seasons, this model provides the opportunity for guest teams from domestic leagues, including in Southeast Asia, to embark on the path for promotion and eventually vie for berths at international events.

In line with this announcement, Riot Games Philippines eyes Liga Republika as the foundation for elevating the competitiveness of LoL players in the country to open new pathways for local players in the future.

“This is exciting for us because Filipino League players have been clamoring for legitimate competitive recognition. But we need to earn it, and we do that by elevating the national competitive scene first. We at Riot Games Philippines are focusing on boosting local competitiveness through Liga Republika to start harnessing our competitive prowess as a region. This sets the horizon for a strong local competitive gaming scene that opens new doors for the future. Our priority now is to have our strong and passionate players showcase what Filipino League of Legends teams have to offer,” added Guzman.

Interested players can register now and follow League of Legends’ official Facebook and Instagram to get the latest updates and announcements on Liga Republika  2024.
