CleverTap Report notes that cross-channel marketing strategies boost conversion rates

CleverTap, the all-in-one engagement platform, recently released its market research report on “Unraveling the Cross-Channel Marketing Strategy”. The report highlights the necessity of tailoring marketing approaches to resonate with regional audiences while maintaining a cohesive global presence. It underscores the importance of understanding local and industry-specific nuances to optimize cross-channel strategies as businesses grow.

The report has looked at more than 600 businesses across the globe and examined factors that could influence or shape the omnichannel strategy, such as business growth stage, geographical nuances, industry dynamics, customer lifestyle milestones, and user retention.

The cross-channel strategy of a business involves selecting the right number of channels and the right mix — depending on the stage of growth the business will be in at any given point in time and where the customer is in their lifecycle. A key indicator of the stage of growth a company is at is the number of monthly active users. It is observed that businesses witness up to 49% increase in conversion rates by using four or more channels as part of their omni-channel strategies.

While email remains dominant in markets like the US and UK, SMS holds significant sway in regions like China and the US, and WhatsApp emerges as a powerhouse in South America and Asia. The report found that adopting an omni-channel marketing strategy impacted the following key areas: app stickiness, conversion rates, and onboarding rates. Key highlights include-

    Engagement:

    • 23% uptick in engagement on Fintech platforms with email, push notifications and in-app messages.
    • 16% increase in engagement for Subscription platforms with email, while combining it with other channels can take it beyond  20%
    • 13% elevated engagement in Gaming platforms with a combination of email, push-notifications, in-app messages and app inbox.

    Conversion rates:

    • Up to 31% conversion rates in Fintech apps, where email, push notifications, and in-app messages are pivotal.
    • 16% uptick in conversions in Subscription apps from push notifications and in-app messages
    • 10% increase in conversion in the Gaming industry from push notifications and in-app messages.
    • 6% increase in conversions in Ecommerce as a result of a cross-channel strategy incorporating in-app, app inbox, email and push notifications.

    App-stickiness:

    • Over 28% increase for Fintech platforms with more than three channels.
    • 30% to 70% increase stickiness in Subscription platforms, such as streaming platforms,or grocery shopping, with two to four channels.
    • 32% increase in stickiness in Gaming platforms, with more than three channels.
    • 26% increase in stickiness in E-commerce platforms, with more than three channels.

Commenting on the report, Jacob Joseph, VP – Data Science, CleverTap said, “Many organizations often dive into customer engagement with a narrower focus, which, while important, can limit their effectiveness. Our latest report highlights the crucial need for a holistic approach to truly drive impactful results. By strategically utilizing a mix of channels, businesses can significantly enhance their engagement efforts. The findings demonstrate that a comprehensive, all-in-one MarTech stack is vital for marketers who must navigate the complexities of diverse channels. This approach not only addresses the numerous challenges but also amplifies overall engagement and effectiveness, ensuring that no customer touchpoint is overlooked and every interaction is optimized for success.”

FWD Life Insurance partners with Save The Children to help young Filipinos most affected by disasters

FWD Life Insurance (FWD Philippines) has announced its partnership with non-government organization (NGO), Save the Children Philippines, to support young Filipinos affected by natural disasters. As part of the initiative, FWD Philippines will leverage its 2-in-1 supercharged app, Omne by FWD, to enhance disaster preparedness and provide immediate relief to children in vulnerable communities.

From now until 31 August 2024, FWD will donate up to PHP50 to Save the Children’s Emergency Fund for each policyholder who uses Omne by FWD for the first time. FWD donates PHP25 when a policyholder downloads and links their policy to Omne by FWD. Another PHP25 will be donated when they make their first transaction using the app.

Recently, Typhoon Carina (known internationally as Gaemi) and the Southwest Monsoon caused widespread flooding, road closures, and power outages across the nation. The severe weather forced many families in low-lying areas to evacuate and delayed the start of the school year.

According to a study, the Philippines has had the highest number of displaced children in the last six years due to natural disasters, reaching 9.7 million. Ninety-seven percent experienced three or more types of shocks, hazards, or stress.

“When crises strike, children are the most vulnerable, especially those in underserved communities. That’s why we believe the work Save the Children does is critical now more than ever and we want to do our part in protecting more young Filipinos in times of disasters,” said FWD Philippines chief marketing and digital business officer, Roche Vandenberghe.

She further emphasized the importance of this partnership, as it aligns with FWD Philippines’ commitment to nation-building. “As the insurer of the next generation, we’re committed to empowering people to live fulfilling lives and provide equal access to everyone in the community. Through this partnership, we’re creating an opportunity for our policyholders to ensure their protection while also helping secure vulnerable children in times of crises.”

As policyholders participate in a good cause benefitting young Filipinos, Omne by FWD allows policyholders to manage their insurance quickly and easily, enabling them to update their accounts, make premium payments, file claims, and manage funds.

Link and manage your policies now by downloading Omne by FWD via the App Store or Google Play and help make a difference for Filipino children, especially during this typhoon season.

FWD Philippines is regulated by the Insurance Commission of the Philippines and is legally permitted to provide insurance products and services within the country.

Keep your modem cool and safe, enjoy undisrupted connectivity

In today’s digital age, your modem is the unsung hero of your home. It powers your internet, enabling everything from streaming movies to remote working. But like any hardworking device, your modem needs some tender loving care to keep it running smoothly, especially when it comes to avoiding overheating.

Overheating is your modem’s biggest enemy. It can lead to connectivity issues, performance degradation, and even hardware failure. Globe At Home shares five ways to keep your modem cool and efficient:

    1. Place Your Modem in Open Areas

Ventilation is key: Ensure your modem is placed in a well-ventilated spot. Avoid confined spaces such as cabinets or drawers where airflow is restricted.

Keep it uncovered: Do not place items on top of or around your modem. Covering it with books, sheets of paper, or decorative items can block airflow and trap heat.

    2. Keep It Away from Heat Sources

Distance from hot appliances: Position your modem away from heat-generating devices such as refrigerators and ovens. These appliances may raise the ambient temperature and affect your modem.

Avoid direct sunlight: Sunlight may significantly increase the temperature of your modem. Place it in a shaded area away from windows to prevent overheating.

    3. Minimize Electrical Interference

Avoid other electronic devices: Keep your modem away from running electric appliances such as TVs, cordless phones, and personal computers. These devices can emit electromagnetic interference, which not only affects performance but can also contribute to heat buildup.

    4. Stability and Placement

Use a stable, flat surface: Ensure your modem is on a solid, level surface. Avoid soft or uneven surfaces that may block vents or cause the modem to tip over.

    5. Use the Original Adapter

Power matters: Always use the original power adapter that came with your modem. It’s designed to deliver the correct voltage and current. Using a different adapter may lead to power fluctuations, increasing the risk of overheating.

By following these tips, you can protect your modem from overheating, ensuring that it operates efficiently and maintains a stable internet connection. Take good care of your modem to avoid charges for device replacement in case of damage.

“The modem is the gateway to WiFi connection. We encourage our customers to take care of it just as they look after their mobile phones and other devices that keep them connected. Being mindful of the location of the modem is key in preventing unexpected disruptions,” said Abigail Cardino, VP for Broadband Business at Globe.

Remember, a properly placed modem is a safe modem. For more tips on optimizing your internet setup and fixing connection issues, check out this video. For more information about Globe, visit https://www.globe.com.ph/.

CIMB continues to expand banking ecosystem with financial inclusion efforts through embedded banking

From the time CIMB Bank Philippines first launched in 2018, it has disrupted the local banking industry, allowing Filipinos to bank like never before with the help of its innovative products and services. CIMB pioneered the embedded banking business model in the country, wherein banking services are seamlessly integrated into existing digital ecosystems, such as mobile wallets and e-commerce platforms, for a more convenient and inclusive banking experience.

Through embedded banking, banking services are made simpler for customers. Instead of having them go to a conventional bank to open an account or perform a transaction, the bank provides its services to the customer wherever they transact, conveniently embedded in their commonly used apps.

With industry-leading partnerships, CIMB continues to lead and further expand its footprint through embedded banking, giving the most awarded digital-only commercial bank in the country a wide reach in offering deposit, credit, and insurance services to customers.

    CIMB

Simplifying bank account ownership and access to credit with GCas

An experience that CIMB endeavored to simplify is opening a deposit account and providing access to credit for Filipinos who struggle with accessing both services, which is why its partnership with the leading finance super app GCash is crucial.

Through GSave, a savings product jointly built by CIMB and GCash, the first-ever bank account that can be opened and maintained straight from the GCash app was launched. This empowers more Filipinos to easily open an account with no initial deposit, no maintaining balance and at a higher interest rate. In contrast to the complicated process of opening an account in a traditional bank, this allows unbanked Filipinos to open an account in less than five minutes for them to have a safe place to store their funds, send money to loved ones for free, and even explore opportunities to grow their savings.

GCash and CIMB also joined forces for GCredit, which gives customers access to a credit line that they can use as another payment option when they need to make ends meet. With these two products available directly on the GCash mobile app, unbanked individuals are now able to conveniently open deposit accounts and have access to credit with much more ease than traditional banks.

Offering flexible ‘buy now, pay later’ (BNPL) options with Shopee and Lazada

In an effort to expand its lending presence among e-commerce platforms, CIMB first forged a partnership with Shopee Philippines to power their Buy Now Pay Later product, SPayLater. Most recently, a similar partnership was successfully launched with Lazada Philippines to power LazPayLater, its flagship BNPL product, to also provide its customers with convenient access to credit within the Lazada platform.

These BNPL offerings are another way for CIMB to support its customers with their finances, availing them the option to spread out their purchases with easy and more manageable repayments at low interest rates.  For instance, a newlywed couple can still purchase items for their new home within their limited monthly budget by availing the BNPL option, which allows to pay later for the items they need urgently.

Continuing to promote the agenda of financial inclusion in the Philippines

Beyond keeping customers’ hard-earned money secure, CIMB continues to champion the financial inclusion agenda in the country, by making banking services accessible to as many Filipinos as possible in the country.

With more strategic embedded banking partnerships on the horizon, CIMB Bank PH continues to improve the digital banking experience of countless Filipinos. It remains committed to empower the unbanked customers, to help them understand that having a bank account is more than just savings, it is also a powerful tool that gives them access to a wide array of financial services. Whether it is to help them grow their savings or provide access to funds that can improve their standard of living, having a bank account can help them truly live their life purpose.

From basic oil changes to air and fuel filter replacement, SSP covers expenses included in the periodic maintenance service (PMS) of Ford vehicles. Customers whose Ford vehicles have been in service for less than 12 months and/or traveled less than 10,000km from the time the vehicle was released are eligible to avail of the SSP. They can select from 2-year, 3-year, or 5-year SSP packages.

    Scheduled Service Plan

The Scheduled Service Plan (SSP) Advantage

Following your vehicle’s periodic maintenance service (PMS) is vital to ensuring your Ford vehicle remains in optimal condition for a long time. Here are the key benefits when you avail of Ford’s SSP:

    1. You are protected from future parts and labor price increases. Because of inflation and a number of external economic factors, prices of goods and services could change in an instant. With your vehicle enrolled in SSP, you will just pay one time, which means you can get more savings on your future PMS activities.
    2. There is no need to pay for every service maintenance. Availing of Ford’s SSP package means there’s no need to shell out cash every time you take your vehicle for servicing. It’s all paid for ahead.
    3. Quality assured with genuine parts and trained experts. Because you’re availing of a service offering from a Ford dealer, you can be assured of quality maintenance and care with genuine Ford parts and trained service technicians.
    4. Increased value for your vehicle. One of the standout features of SSP is its transferability. Should you decide to sell your Ford vehicle, the new owner will inherit the remaining benefits of the SSP. This makes your vehicle more attractive to potential buyers, as they will not have to worry about maintenance costs for the duration of the plan.

“Ford SSP is one of our flagship service offerings that allows our customers to enjoy worry-free ownership experience,” says Joyce Laxamana, director, Ford Customer Service Division. “It’s definitely a smart choice as customers don’t need to worry about future expenses and price increases, giving them peace of mind throughout their ownership journey.”

Exclusive Offer for Ford Territory Buyers
