Leading Dell’s newest line of Precision mobile workstations is the 7720, a 17-inch beast that is one of the company’s first VR-ready portable devices. It sports a 17.3-inch UltraSharp FHD IPS AG LED back-lit screen and an internal, dual pointing, back-lit keyboard. The 7720 runs on the latest Intel 7th generation processors, upgradeable to a 3.10 GHz, quad-core Xeon E3-1535M v6 processor. Boosting its performance capabilities is a monstrous helping of RAM, up to 64 GB, working in tandem with a maximum of 16 GB VRAM via Nvidia’s Quadro video cards optimized for VR operation. The 7720 is offered with flexible storage options of up to a 1 TB SATA drive at 7200 rpm or a 512 GB SSD. Customers can avail up to three separate hard drives for the computer with RAID configurations.
