    As Mega Prime Foods celebrates 50 years of nourishing Filipino families, it is deepening its commitment to nation-building by taking Filipino excellence to the global stage. Speaking to members of the media, the company made clear its ambition to double the business every five years. 

    “It is an audacious goal—but one we believe is entirely within reach, because we are building with insight, scaling with discipline, and growing with purpose,” stated Marvin. “First, we’re doubling down on our roots: our distribution. With over 135,000 touchpoints nationwide—mga tindahan, palengke, groceries, sari-sari stores—we are present in the daily lives of Filipino families.     Aside from its local efforts, MPFI recently bolstered its presence in the UAE market, partnering with Baqer Mohebi Enterprises (BME) to make its products widely available in Baqer Mohebi Supermarkets across key locations in Dubai. BME is a leading FMCG distributor in the region. Mega Prime Foods products are also distributed in Canada where it is available at Costco Wholesale. Europe and the United States are also key markets for MPFI. He noted that their success has been due to the Filipinos working overseas.

    HP and DICT partner to build an AI-ready PH

    HP and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) are aligning efforts to build an AI-ready Philippines, focusing on technological innovation to support long-term national development.

    The collaboration was a key focus at the recent Frontier Tech Trends Webinar, “Artificial Intelligence in the Workspace,” organized by DICT in celebration of National ICT Month.

    This initiative comes as a growing number of Filipino workers are leaning in and harnessing artificial intelligence. The outlook mirrors findings of HP’s Work Relationship Index, which highlights that in growing economies like the Philippines, 76% of knowledge workers think AI will make their job ‘easier’ and 75% ‘more interesting’.

    Spotify launches new K-Pop performance videos; ENHYPEN is the first artist featured

    One Honda Road Safety Event reaffirms Honda commitment to road safety advocacy

In a recent global survey, Lalamove revealed that 75% of its driver partners have shifted from traditional logistics to platform-based work, citing benefits like flexible schedules, added income, and improved family well-being. As the platform economy grows, Lalamove continues to empower drivers across the Philippines to take control of their livelihood on their own terms

    Redefining work accessibility for flexible earning 

    Lalamove’s partnership with drivers addresses a growing global shift toward adaptable work, combining accessible opportunities with unparalleled scheduling freedom. The global survey underscores this appeal: 65% of driver partners cite flexibility as their primary motivator, while 47% leverage the platform’s open scheduling to balance earning income with personal and family commitments. 

    By removing rigid hourly requirements and empowering drivers to have flexibility for their time around personal demands, Lalamove fills delivery gaps while reimagining the modern workforce. 

    Lalamove fuels financial support for families

    The survey also found that 63% of partner drivers use Lalamove to boost their income, a reflection of how this additional source of income helps achieve financial stability while also enhancing their standards of living. 

    This opportunity extends beyond individual benefits; with 63% of drivers being married and two-thirds of them with children. The flexibility of Lalamove’s platform allows partner drivers to explore more income opportunities like having a part-time job or running a small business while taking care of their family. These motivations highlight how Lalamove helps partner drivers to enhance their livelihood. 

    For Macky Bravo, a motorcycle Lalamove driver, he signed up as a Lalamove partner driver to help support the school expenses of her stepdaughter’s college education.

    “Maliban sa extra income na nakukuha ko sa pagiging delivery rider ng Lalamove, nasusuportahan ko rin ‘yung pang-tuition ng anak ko at lagi ko pa siyang nakakabonding kasi flexible lang naman oras ko,” he shared. 

    The survey received nearly 9,000 responses from different markets globally, highlighting the company’s commitment to actively engage with its partner driver community and their experiences within the platform.

    HMPH celebrates 3rd anniversary at the Hyundai Mobility Experience BGC

    Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) is holding a special run of the Hyundai Mobility Experience from June 20 to 22, 2025, in commemoration of its 3rd anniversary. Guests can expect a jam-packed weekend filled with activities, a display of the latest Hyundai line-up, and special performances by famous local artists at the Bonifacio High Street (BHS) Amphitheater.

    On its first day, Hyundai is reintroducing an iconic nameplate to kick off the festivities. This will mark the return of one of the brand’s subcompact SUVs, sporting a redefined look while exhibiting the same unique and stylish vibe of its predecessor. In the evening, visitors can look forward to a special concert featuring local icons Lola Amour and Sam Concepcion, as well as performances by none other than the Popstar Royalty and Hyundai Brand Ambassador, Sarah Geronimo.
