Evo and Capcom Asia Champions Kung Xian Ho “Xian” and Ghim Kee Eng “Gackt” join Team Razer. The two Singaporean fighting game pro-players signed a deal with Razer, one of the world’s eSports pioneers, to promote the fighting game scene in the region.
“Xian and Gackt are stellar examples of players that we want on Team Razer,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director. “They have achieved remarkable results already in their budding careers, and they will certainly continue to grow as great assets to the fighting scene internationally” he added.
Xian and Gackt had displayed exceptional talent and skills in every fighting game tournament they’ve participated. Xian’s international debut was back in 2009’s DreamHack Winter. Since then, he has acquired several championship titles in EVO 2013, CEO 2013, Red Fight District 2. In addition to this, he also won the Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 and King of Fighters XIII at Shadowloo Showdown 2013.
Meanwhile, Gackt made his first appearance in the EVO 2011 after winning the Singapore Qualifiers for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, followed by competing among the world’s top players in the Capcom Cup Asia Finals for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition v2012.
“We are definitely honored to be part of Team Razer,” said Xian. “Razer’s involvement in our professional gaming lives will place both of us on a global level and we just can’t wait to make Singapore and all of Razer around the world proud.”
Xian and Gackt will be competing in tournaments under the banner of Team Razer along with Japanese fighting legends and Super Street Fighter IV stars, Keita “Fuudo” Ai and Hiromiki “Itazan” Kumada.
