The 24.5-inch TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED monitors offer up to 720Hz refresh rate and a 0.02ms response time for professional tournament play

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the availability of the Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace and Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, expanding the Ace esports monitor range with OLED options. Designed with direct input from professional players, these 24.5-inch monitors use a TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED panel with a 0.02ms (GTG) response time, 1700 nits peak brightness, 99.5% DCI-P3 color gamut, and true 10-bit color. ROG says they set a new benchmark in an esports monitor category that TN panels have defined for decades.

Pro-focused features include measurement scales on the stand and base, a Quick OSD menu, Hue Optimizer, and three Esports Color Modes to help dial in setups. The flagship PG259QWS Ace, the official monitor of PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026, pushes refresh rates to 720Hz and includes the exclusive Position Sensor and DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) connectivity. The XG259QWPG Ace gives players the same OLED esports panel at 540Hz.

CHANGING THE RULES OF THE GAME

For decades, TN panels have been the default choice for competitive play, trading color, contrast, and viewing angles for raw speed. With the Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace and Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, ROG, which calls itself the world’s No. 1 OLED gaming monitor brand, aims to remove that compromise.

Self-lit OLED pixels switch almost instantly, delivering motion clarity without sacrificing brightness or relying on backlight strobing. Because each pixel produces its own light, there is no backlight blooming, so contrast, color, and black levels stay consistent across the entire panel. This also reduces flicker for more comfortable viewing than traditional LCD monitors. The result, ROG says, is a new benchmark for esports professionals: faster, clearer, more consistent visuals that let players see more, react faster, and unlock their full potential. The monitors also include Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology to take motion clarity further.

TRUEBLACK GLOSSY TANDEM WOLED: CLARITY, COLOR, AND VISIBILITY

The 24.5-inch FHD TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED panel used in both monitors has two stacked light-emitting layers. This delivers up to 31 percent higher brightness, 34 percent larger color volume, and up to 63 percent longer lifespan than a conventional WOLED panel. Up to 1700 nits peak brightness and a 0.02ms GTG response time keep every flick and peek razor-sharp, while 99.5% DCI-P3, true 10-bit color, and Delta E<2 accuracy make targets stand out. Per-pixel contrast reveals opponents hiding in the shadows, and the TrueBlack Glossy coating keeps blacks deep even under bright arena lighting.

OLED Care Pro with a Neo Proximity Sensor and a GaNFET power-supply design with an advanced thermal solution keep the panel running cooler, extending OLED lifespan without compromising performance. The monitors also come with a three-year warranty that includes OLED burn-in, giving players peace of mind during practice and tournament play.

DESIGNED FOR PROS

Developed with direct input from professional players, the Ace series is built to get players into the game faster:

  • Measurement scales on stand and base: Markings for tilt, swivel, and height let players recreate their exact setup anywhere.
  • Quick OSD menu: Instant access to brightness, shadow boost, and saturation settings.
  • Hue Optimizer: 6-axis hue and saturation tuning to make key in-game colors pop.
  • Esports Color Modes: Three professionally tuned presets for different FPS scenarios, including game-specific presets for popular first-person shooter titles such as CS2, PUBG, and VALORANT.

ROG SWIFT OLED PG259QWS ACE: READY FOR THE BIGGEST STAGE

The ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace pairs a 720Hz refresh rate with a 0.02ms (GTG) response time for competition-ready visuals. Its exclusive Position Sensor displays tilt angle, height, and monitor-to-user distance on screen, so players can reproduce their setup precisely at any venue. DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) provides the full 80Gbps bandwidth needed for full 720Hz performance. The PG259QWS Ace is the official monitor of PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026, which ASUS says is the first Counter-Strike Major played on OLED.

ROG STRIX OLED XG259QWPG ACE: OLED ESPORTS PERFORMANCE AT 540HZ

The ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace uses the same Tandem WOLED panel technology found in the Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, with a 0.02ms response time and a 540Hz refresh rate. ROG pitches it as an accessible path for competitive players moving from TN to OLED.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace will be available in the Philippines starting December 2026, while the Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace will be available in 2027.
