Chevrolet Philippines officially launched the all-new Spark at the Manila International Auto Show in Pasay.
The compact runner carries a four-cylinder, 16-valve, DOHC Ecotec 1.4-liter engine built on an all-aluminum frame. The engine has a maximum power of 99 hp and a maximum torque of 128 Nm. It runs on either manual transmission or Chevrolet’s Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) system coupled with electric power steering.
In terms of exterior aesthetics, the Spark sports 15-inch alloy wheels, Chevrolet’s signature dual-port grille with large swept back projector-type headlamps with daytime running LEDs. It is available in “Mint My Mind,” brimstone, “Pull Me Over Red,” “Sun of a Gun Gray Metallic,” “Black Meet Kettle,” summit white and switchblade silver colors.
Other features include: a 7-inch touchscreen MyLink Infotainment System which supports smartphone pairing and mirroring; heated and power-folding side mirrors; keyless entry; dual SRS airbags; an anti-lock braking system; traction and stability control; and theft alarm and immobilizer.
As with other vehicles in Chevrolet’s lineup, the Spark is backed by the company’s Complete Care Program with a warranty program that lasts either for five years or 100,000 km. The car is also automatically enrolled to Chevrolet’s 24/7 Emergency Roadside Support for three years, as well as given access to the 24/7 Customer Care Hotline.
The Spark is priced at PHP 648,888 for the LT MT variant; PHP 682,882 for the LT CVT; and PHP 763,888 for the LTZ CVT. Chevrolet is also offering a PHP 68,000 all-in low downpayment promo for the Spark until June 30.
