Ford Philippines reported that it nailed its best-ever June with sales growing 10-percent year over year to 1,870 vehicles. With the impressive June performance, Ford was able to end the year’s first half on a high note, improving sales by 18-percent to 10,427 units.

“We’re continuing to be a leading brand of choice for Filipino customers across the country, and it’s so exciting to see our global Ford vehicles, particularly Ranger and EcoSport, continue to build on their success by appealing to an even wider range of customers’ lives and lifestyles,” said Kay Hart, managing director of Ford Philippines.

Leading the way for Ford was the EcoSport, Ranger, and Explorer. The EcoSport had its best month since its launch last 2014 with shipments rocketing to 767 units, 59-percent better than last year’s. Year to date, the EcoSport has sold 4,133 models, making it Ford’s second hottest vehicle.

Ford’s Ranger pickup truck remains to be the brand’s best-selling model locally. It managed to sell 755 units last June for a 26-percent increase and has accumulated 4,327 sales year to date, a 32-percent growth. Meanwhile, the Explorer SUV recorded a 24-percent rise year over year to 110 units

Ford’s other nameplates such as the Fiesta and Mustang also sold 117 and 48 units respectively last June.

Following the impressive June outing, Ford will continue to expand its dealership network in the country with the opening of the Sta. Rosa and Ormoc hubs, bringing their total to 38 branches. The company promises to have 40 dealerships in operation before the year ends.

“Our ongoing dealership expansion is helping to better serve our growing base of customer across the country, and ensure the very best customer and ownership experience with convenience, accessibility and world-class service,” said Hart.
