GAC International Philippines has officially joined the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), giving the automaker a more direct role in discussions affecting the country’s automotive industry.

Through its CAMPI membership, GAC Philippines can collaborate with other industry stakeholders on national policies, programmes, and standards intended to support the development of the Philippine automotive sector.

The membership follows a strategic reorganisation completed in early 2026, when GAC Philippines transitioned into a wholly owned local subsidiary of GAC International.

A new chapter for GAC Philippines

Steven Wang, Senior Vice President of GAC International, described the membership as an important step for the company’s Philippine operations.

“Joining CAMPI is a significant honor and a pivotal chapter for our operations. We are eager to leverage this partnership to accelerate our growth in the Philippine market. As we continue re-consolidating our presence in the country, this membership underscores our deep-rooted commitment to providing Filipinos with world-class engineering and a comprehensive, future-ready automotive experience.”

CAMPI brings together vehicle manufacturers operating in the Philippines and participates in discussions concerning the direction, regulation, and development of the local automotive industry.

Membership gives GAC Philippines an avenue to contribute to these discussions as it rebuilds and expands its presence in the market.

GAC consolidates its brands under ONE GAC

GAC Philippines’ renewed market strategy is anchored on the ONE GAC brand philosophy, which brings GAC MOTOR, AION, and HYPTEC under one integrated organization.

The structure is intended to provide a more consistent approach to vehicle sales, servicing, aftersales support, and the overall customer experience across the three brands.

Centralising local operations is also expected to improve parts availability, coordination with dealerships, and support throughout GAC’s nationwide network.

The company’s current portfolio covers internal combustion engine vehicles and new-energy models. GAC also draws on 20 years of manufacturing collaboration with Toyota and Honda, which the company says has contributed to its experience in vehicle production and hybrid technology.

Dealership network and ownership support

GAC Philippines currently has a nationwide network of 30 dealerships supported by a dedicated local parts warehouse and aftersales operations.

For internal combustion engine vehicles, the company offers warranties of up to five years or 150,000km.

Its electric vehicles come with an eight-year or 160,000km vehicle warranty. The three core electric systems are covered for eight years or 200,000km.

All new GAC vehicle owners also receive two years of complimentary roadside assistance.

With its entry into CAMPI, GAC Philippines is positioning its reorganised local operation to work more closely with other manufacturers and industry stakeholders while expanding its sales and ownership support for Filipino motorists.
