Ford Philippines has opened a new Learning Center in Calamba, Laguna, establishing a central hub for technical and non-technical training among dealership personnel nationwide.
The 1,500-square-meter facility replaces Ford’s previous 110-square-meter training area at Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati. Its larger footprint expands the company’s capacity to train front-line, sales, service, and technical teams using updated equipment and globally aligned processes.
“The opening of the Learning Center is not just about opening a new building; it is about building the future of Ford in the Philippines,” said Pedro Simoes, managing director of Ford Philippines. “It represents our strong commitment to this market, to our customers, our partners, and our people.”
Simoes added that the ownership experience depends not only on the vehicles themselves, but also on how customers are supported throughout their journey.
Training for conventional and electric vehicles
At the center of the facility is a 451-square-meter workshop with seven mechanical bays, including one dedicated to electric vehicles. The area supports simultaneous hands-on training and recreates the working environment of a Ford dealership for diagnostics, repairs, and certification exercises.
The conventional bays are equipped with two-post and four-post lifts, allowing personnel to train across different vehicle types. Both technicians and non-technical employees can use the workshop to build familiarity with internal-combustion and electric vehicle systems.
“As vehicle technologies rapidly evolve, from advanced connectivity to sophisticated safety features and electrified systems, our dealership teams must be equipped with the highest level of technical mastery, product knowledge, and customer-handling skills,” said Pushparaj Muthusamy, director of the Ford Customer Service Division at Ford Philippines.
He said the facility will help standardize and strengthen operational capabilities across the dealer network.
Classrooms and product training spaces
The Learning Center also includes a 195-square-meter reception and showroom area that can accommodate a Ford vehicle for product training and walkarounds. Four configurable classrooms provide a combined capacity of more than 100 participants per session.
Meeting rooms for two to seven people support coaching, assessments, and small-group learning. The facility also houses a 72-seat cafeteria and a 24-seat extension office for employees.
Supporting Ford’s after-sales network
The new Learning Center forms part of Ford Philippines’ broader effort to modernize its after-sales operations. It follows the opening of the Ford Parts Distribution Center in Laguna in 2024, which was established to improve parts availability and accessibility.
Ford’s current service offerings also include Online Service Booking, Mobile Service Vehicle, Express Service, Service Price Calculator, and Pickup and Delivery. Together with the expanded training facility, these services are intended to improve consistency, convenience, and customer support across the ownership experience.
