MobilityCarsNew Civic RS e:HEV redefines Honda's sporty DNA at 9th PIMS

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) opened its exhibit at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) with the theme of Sporty DNA: Redefined. The event also serves as the official launch of the New Civic, now available with the RS e:HEV variant.

The New Civic was previewed at the Transform the Future – One Honda Electrification event held last September 2024, where HCPI and Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) made a unified commitment to an electrified future for Honda. Also revealed during the show were limited editions of the CR-V V Turbo and the Civic Type R, along with two motorcycles, the All-New EM1 e: and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.

    New Civic

The 9th PIMS served as the official launch of the New Honda Civic, which now joins the CR-V as part of Honda’s full hybrid lineup with the addition of the RS e:HEV variant. This rings in a new chapter for HCPI as it brings in more e:HEV models to the Philippines.

HCPI aims to redefine ‘Sporty DNA’ through the electrification of this iconic and timeless nameplate. It now comes in a sportier design and a more fun-to-drive experience, thanks to Honda’s e:HEV full hybrid system. Honda SENSING on the New Civic has been updated with a wider camera, while Honda CONNECT gets a refresh too with additional features.

The New Civic comes with new features such as parking sensors, Type C USB ports, and a new 9” Audio Display unit across all variants (whereas the previous model only had this available on RS variants). This is also the first model from HCPI that is equipped with Google Built-in. Users can now interact and control their car with voice commands for navigation, car operations, and install a wide variety of third-party apps. This hands-free way of interacting with the New Civic contributes to Honda’s global safety goal of having a collision-free society, wherein no road accidents will involve any Honda vehicle.

    The All-New EM1 e: & The All-New CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP

Previewed during the Transform the Future – One Honda Electrification event, HCPI, together with HPI, displayed The All-New EM1 e: at PIMS 2024. This scooter is HPI’s very first battery electric vehicle and highlights Honda’s commitment to bring in greener and carbon neutral mobility solutions. The All-New CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP was also displayed at PIMS. This light and powerful super sports bike embodies the true spirit of its MotoGP racing DNA. Additionally, HPI merchandise is also available for customers to browse at the venue.

    CR-V V Turbo Limited Edition

HCPI has combined practicality and style with the limited-edition CR-V V variant. Sporty accessories include an exhaust pipe finisher, a front aero bumper, and a rear under spoiler, while utility accessories include a body cover, seat back protector, a cargo tray, and a door visor.

    MUGEN Civic Type R Group.A

HCPI also introduced the most exclusive Civic Type R in the country to date. Premiering globally at the Tokyo Auto Salon last January, Filipinos now have a chance of getting their hands on this version of the Civic Type R. Only five (5) units will be available locally. The MUGEN team also graciously gave their time and effort to be present at the exhibit for the reveal.

    Honda LEASING

New models and accessorized variants are not the only things HCPI had up its sleeve at PIMS. Also launched was the Honda Leasing Program, a new payment option developed with leasing partners: RCBC Leasing and Finance Corporation, RCBC Rental Corporation, BDO Finance Corporation, and BPI Tokyo Century Rental Corporation. This makes it easier for those who want to take home a new Honda, offering lower upfront costs, more flexible financing terms, and comprehensive after-sales maintenance service perks.

Rie Miyake, HCPI president, said, “We at Honda have two global goals to reach by 2050: First, carbon-neutrality for all products and corporate activities, and second, zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda vehicles. With all the programs and activities we have conducted over the years, achieving these are of high priority to us. Supported by technologies such as Honda SENSING and Honda CONNECT, these features will make their way to more of our products for safer roads, as well as more e:HEV and BEV for greener and more sustainable mobility. The Philippine automotive market will continue to thrive as brands introduce more innovative models and advanced technologies. Honda’s success will come from our unwavering commitment to prioritizing our customers. We are here to learn about what you need and to expand our product range to provide mobility solutions that are practical and relevant to you.”

Special offers and promotions will also be available at PIMS for those who avail of test drives with Honda or make reservations for new units.

    Honda Genuine Accessories

Exclusive offers for Honda Genuine Accessories (HGA) will also be available at PIMS. Customers who choose to reserve theirs can get an additional 10% off on top of other HGA offers.
