Samsung’s turning up the heat against Apple, as the Korean tech behemoth has now filed a patent suit in the state of California against the firm from Cupertino. The suit is targeting Apple’s iPhone, which allegedly violates 10 Samsung patents that “relate to fundamental innovations that increase mobile device reliability, efficiency, and quality, and improve user interface in mobile handsets and other products.” Samsung has already filed three different suits in Germany, Korea and Japan against Apple. While Apple’s chief operating officer Tim Cook said last week that Samsung is a “is a very valued component supplier to us”, this latest development between the two tech giants might catalyst for Apple to look for another partner.
