The FEU Institute of Technology Association for Computing Machinery Student Chapter (FEU Tech ACM Student Chapter) is thrilled to announce its upcoming 16th anniversary celebration.
Revolving around the theme of celebrating the past and having a vision for the future, Sweet 16-Bit: A Retrofuturstic Collision will feature seminars from prominent industry figures, delving into the multifaceted realms of Data Science and Software Engineering. This three-day extravaganza, scheduled on June 19th, 22nd, and 23rd, will be open to all tech enthusiasts, industry professionals, and students.
“It will surely be a harmonious convergence of the past and the future. Since FEU Tech ACM’s establishment in 2007, we have been at the forefront of empowering future leaders in the computing industry. And now, after 16 astounding years, we want everyone to experience an unforgettable celebration that transcends their imagination,” FEU Tech ACM president Micah Sophia Tan, said.
On the first day of Sweet 16-Bit, participants will have a chance to widen their knowledge in Data Science through various seminars such as:
- The Future is Now: Unleashing the Power of Data and Information
- Mining the Future: Uncovering Hidden Techniques and Tips with Data Mining
- Beyond the Numbers: The Art of Crafting Data-driven Stories
The momentum then continues on the second day, with talks regarding the field of Software Engineering. Lined up for this day are:
- The AI Revolution: How Machine Learning is Revolutionizing Software
- From Automation to Autonomy: Exploring the Next Frontier of AI/ML and Software Engineering
- Debugging in the Dark: Strategies for Testing and Debugging AI/ML Systems
Finally, on the event’s culmination day, FEU Tech ACM will organize two competitions—an intense debugging battle where the most brilliant minds will showcase their ability to dissect and resolve complex code challenges with precision and speed, and an exciting quiz bee that will test the participants’ knowledge in the ever-evolving field of Computer Science. The winner/s of both events will be awarded cash prizes and certificates.
“Don’t miss the chance to experience this unprecedented celebration that defies boundaries,” Tan said. “This is your chance to discover and unravel the wondrous capabilities of Computer Science.”
