BYD Cars Philippines has officially launched the all-new BYD Atto 2, expanding its New Energy Vehicle lineup with a compact SUV offered in both fully electric and plug-in hybrid configurations.

The new model is available as the Atto 2 EV, Atto 2 DM-i Premium, and Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic. By offering two electrified powertrain options, BYD aims to give Filipino motorists greater flexibility when choosing how they want to transition to electric mobility.

“Our newest model, the BYD Atto 2, is proof that shifting to electric vehicles is a practical reality for the everyday Filipino driver,” said Bob Palanca, managing director of BYD Cars Philippines. “Whether you want to go full electric or extend your range with a plug-in hybrid model built on BYD’s Super DM-i technology, the BYD Atto 2 makes the switch to go electric easy, whichever you choose.”

Two approaches to electrified mobility

The Atto 2 EV delivers up to 380km of pure electric range, while the DM-i Dynamic and Premium variants offer up to 45km of electric-only driving.

Based on an efficiency run conducted by BYD Cars Philippines in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines, the DM-i variants can achieve a combined range of up to 1,340km. Actual results may vary depending on driving conditions, traffic, weather, vehicle load, battery condition, and driving habits.

All three variants use the BYD Blade Battery, which the company positions around durability, thermal stability, and long-term reliability.

Connected features and driver assistance

The Atto 2 lineup shares the same smart-focused SUV platform, although feature levels vary across the three variants. The Atto 2 EV is equipped with a 12.8-inch touchscreen, while the DM-i variants use a 10.1-inch display. Both systems support smartphone connectivity.

The Atto 2 DM-i Premium is the only variant in the range equipped with DiPilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. BYD also highlights a once-a-year maintenance schedule across the lineup, intended to make routine ownership more predictable.

Vehicle-to-Load capability

The Atto 2 EV includes Vehicle-to-Load capability, allowing the vehicle’s battery to power compatible external electronics, appliances, and equipment. This function can be used during road trips, outdoor activities, or emergency situations, effectively allowing the EV to serve as a mobile power source when needed.

Pricing, warranty, and colors

Beginning September 1, 2026, the official suggested retail prices of the BYD Atto 2 lineup will be:

  • BYD Atto 2 EV: PHP1,338,000
