OPPO and ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan  are set to plant 1,200 trees at the La Mesa Watershed after the success of the OPPO F9 Jade Green Charity Photo Competition which amassed a total of 106,146 entries.

Through the online contest, for every vote or share, OPPO donates one peso to Bantay Kalikasan’ s tree planting program at the La Mesa Watershed–the major watershed in Metro Manila. The contest featured a gallery of photos taken with the OPPO F9 Jade Green by three local photographers with unique Philippine sceneries and culture as subjects.

A total of three hectares will be planted with trees, which amounts to PHP 200,000 of donation. The expanse will be dubbed OPPO Forest.

“We are very grateful to everyone who voted, shared and supported our Charity Photo Competition,” shares Jane Wan, OPPO Philippines’ VP for Marketing. “OPPO will continue its advocacy of preserving the environment.” Wan adds.

The partnership with Bantay Kalikasan is one of OPPO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects this year. OPPO employees are set to take part in the tree planting project.

The limited edition OPPO F9 Jade Green features the VOOC Flash Charge Technology, a waterdrop screen, 6 GB RAM, and a dual camera setup, all for a price of PHP 17,990.
