Under Armour brings NBA superstar Stephen Curry in PH for UA Roadshow Manila; announces launch of Curry Two

Leading performance footwear, apparel, and equipment developer, Under Armour, flew this year’s NBA MVP Stephen Curry in Manila to headline the Philippine leg of the #UARoadShow.  The Golden State Warriors ace was joined by Under Armour CEO and founder, Kevin Plank.

Over the years, Under Armour has become one of the most sought after athletic performance brands among athletes and the mainstream market thanks to Plank’s vision and leadership. In the same way, Curry’s excellence in the court significantly contributed to Golden State Warriors’ first NBA Championship since 1975.

With Curry and Plank on board, the UA roadshow aims to share these same their work ethic and passion for the game of basketball to players and fans across Asia.

During the media Q & A held on September 5, Curry shared that he looks forward to experiencing the vibrant energy of the cultures of each country he’ll be visiting throughout the tour. He also said that he will surely return to the Philippines, further stating that he was surprised, but at the same time grateful for the warm welcome.

When asked: if he had the chance to play ball with Reggie Miller and Ray Allen, who he would preferably pass the ball to? Watch the video below to know Curry’s response.

Curry was also able to meet more fans in Manila through a basketball clinic held at the MOA Arena on the same day. During the event, fans were able to interact with the 2015 NBA MVP through basketball drills, exhibits, and contests.

Under Armour also showcased the Curry Two, the first basketball shoe to feature a full-length Charged Cushioning midsole unit and a UA SpeedForm seamless upper. It will be made available globally on October 24.
