Asus showcased its latest Republic of Gamers (ROG) products during the main and final leg of the Mindanao Cyber Expo (MCE) held in SM City Davao last July 24 to 27, 2014. MCE, formerly the Davao Cyber Expo, is a Mindanaoan event wherein gamers, computer aficionados, enthusiasts, manufacturers, cosplayers, and big name brands come together annually to discuss and share the latest in computing technology. The expo was held in four legs – one in General Santos City, one in Cagayan de Oro, and two in Davao City. As an event sponsor, Asus’ booth featured high-end tech from the ROG brand, with the products put to the test in various activities and exhibitions.

Another highlight was the Asus GTX 750Ti OC graphics card. To prove the mid-tier card’s power, Asus paired it with an entry-level processor versus a PC sporting just a high-end processor with integrated graphics. Though more affordable than the latter unit, Asus’ graphics card vastly outperformed it as it churned out more frames per second. With Nvidia Maxwell architecture, dual fans, and premium build, the GTX 750Ti OC promises gamers a smooth and outstanding gaming experience twice the performance of older cards while consuming only half as much power.

Lastly, top-of-the-line PC junkies were given the chance to test drive and play around with two first-class ROG systems. The rigs’ foundation were deluxe ROG motherboards – one of which was the Maximus VII hero – and gaming graphics cards.

The Maximus VII Hero is among the top beasts in ROG’s motherboard lineup that supports the newest Intel 9-series chipset. Besides enhanced visual and processing performance, users are sure to experience immersive audio with the built-in SupremeFX 2014. Gaming tools like the Keybot and Sonic Radar II also enhance gameplay.

The Republic of Gamers is Asus’ personal foray into the world of gaming, specializing in first-rate computer components, motherboards, video cards, and peripherals. It is also a worldwide community of gamers, enthusiasts, and modders using ROG for play and work.
