Ford Philippines has announced that they had their all-time best November this 2014 as sales grew by 62 percent to 1,924 units over the same period last year. Yet again, this figure was led by the Ranger, EcoSport, and Everest models. Year-to-date, Ford has sold 18,438 vehicles, a 53 percent improvement over last year’s numbers.

The Ford Ranger saw 746 sales last November, 56 percent better than the same period last 2013. The pickup’s year-to-date sales top at 7,040, a 68 percent increase over last year.

November sales for the Ford EcoSport tallied at 681, with sales since its April launch totalling 4,666 units. The Everest contributed 244 shipments, with a year-to-date status up by 17 percent over last year for 2,980 units.

“The success of our performance in the Philippines this year is a proven result of the strength of the One Ford plan,” said Kay Hart, managing director of Ford Philippines. “From the versatility of the Ranger pickup, to the proven performance of the EcoSportand the reliability of the Everest SUV, our global line-up of vehicles have been a dependable hit among Filipino customers.”

Moreover, the Ford Explorer had 60 sales last November, bringing its year-to-date figures to 998 units. The recent launch of the Explorer Sport and Escape – both with Ford’s acclaimed EcoBoost engine – will bolster the company’s SUV lineup. The Escape’s customer deliveries will begin this coming January 2015.

“The additions of the high-performance Explorer Sport and premium Escape to our showrooms help expand our unmatched SUV offering in the country,” said Hart. “Through them we look forward to further providing customers even more options to suit their every need.”

Adding to the success of Ford last November was the 3.2L Ranger Wildtrak’s recognition as the 2014-2015 Truck of The Year by the Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI), the nameplate’s second consecutive win of the prestigious award.

Meanwhile, the 1.5L EcoSport Titanium won CAGI’S Spyder Innovation Award, as well as the 2014-2015 Standard Compact SUV distinction from the Auto Focus People’s Choice Awards. With the Fiesta, Explorer, and Mustang also hauling in trophies, Ford managed to nab a total of 13 titles last November.

Finally, the Ford Alabang mega-dealership was opened to the public during the same month, following the company’s expansion plan of having 36 dealerships in operation before the year ends. The inauguration was attended by key company executives, including Dave Schoch (group vice president and president, Asia Pacific), Elena Ford (vice president, Global Dealer and Consumer Experience), and Matt Bradley, (president, Ford ASEAN).

Measuring five floors high, Ford Alabang is the biggest dealership in the country, as well as one of the largest Ford dealership in the ASEAN region.
