Launched: The 2015 Toyota Alphard

Just three days after it was launched in Japan, Toyota Motor Philippines revealed the all-new 2015 Toyota Alphard to its guests at the Toyota Media Thanksgiving party held in Makati City.

Touted to be the number 1 luxury van in the market, the third generation all-new Alphard ensures first-class travel, whether for business or leisure. It boasts its enhanced NVD (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and promises a quieter ride for all its passengers. Its extended wheelbase ensures more legroom and cabin space, and its lowered floor height allows for easier ingress and egress. For better accessibility, the rear seat access step is lower by 50mm than its predecessor, and the rear door opening has been widened by 70mm. interior illumination is courtesy of a ceiling-mounted light that can adjust its brightness in 16 different colors. The Alphard’s cargo space now has a 147L capacity under the luggage room floor, which can still be used even when the third row seats are in use. Other amenities include roller-type sunshades for privacy and to block unwanted heat, an 8-speaker audio system, and a 4.2-inch TFT color display.

The all new Alphard is powered by a 6-cylinder in-line 24-valve, DOHC with Dual VVT-I engine, mated with a 6-speed, dash mounted, gate-type automatic transmission. Its reliable powerplant promises 275Ps @ 6200RPM and maximum torque of 340Nm @ 4700. It comes with McPherson struts with stabilizer fronts, and double wishbone with stabilizer rears, has front and rear ventilated disc breaks and ships with 235/50 R18 alloys wheels. Available in three colors: silver metallic; luxury white pearl; and raven black, the 2015 Toyota Alphard is priced at P3,292,000.00.
