Everybody wants to help those affected by the largest typhoon to make landfall in human history, but not everyone knows how. It was to this end that the Globe Prepaid On The Go Caravan was held. The event, held last November 16 and 17 in Market! Market! Taguig, and Abreeza Mall, Davao, helped raise awareness on the various ways people could help those whose lives were destroyed by the recent typhoon.
In the Sim and Loading booth, customers were encouraged to donate prepaid load to the Philippine National Red Cross. This amount was then matched b Globe prepaid, in order to give their share to the relief efforts. Customers were also given the opportunity to donate to the Red Cross right from their mobile phones.
The Doneate and Upgrade booth allowed users to donate their old phones, and purchase new ones for their own use. The donated phones will be given to the survivors in order to help them with their communication needs. The Rewards Redemption booth allowed customers to use rewards points in exchange for Globe items or donate points to the survivors.
“We encourage our customers to take part in helping our kababayans in typhoon-stricken communities in their own little way by visiting our Globe Prepaid On the Go caravans. One of the goals of this initiative is to let customers explore various ways of donating using Globe Prepaid,” shares Globe Prepaid Business Head Issa Cabreira.
The Globe Prepaid On the Go caravan will be at The District Mall Activity Center in Imus, Cavite on November 23-24; Harbour Point in Zambales on November 30-December 1, and Marquee Mall in Angeles City, Pampanga on December 14-15.
